I hope this note finds you cozy in from the storm, and in the spirit of Valentine's Day.
Today is a reminder to take care of ourselves, and to love ourselves fully, no matter what is showing up in our lives. Trusting that everything is unfolding as it should. Personally, this day means being kind to myself and others, and taking the time to reflect on the beauty and simplicity that surrounds me.
I remember a time when I dreaded Valentine's Day, because I focused on what lacked in my life, rather than on what I already had and what was truly possible for me.
So much has changed since then! By changing my perspective and focusing on the positive aspects in my life, I'm am able to draw upon the little things that make me happy, and that make me feel good - all with a little help from the practice of gratitude and an abundance mindset.
There is so much abundance around us, and it's so much easier to see it when we are engaged in entertaining positive thoughts instead of negative ones. Focus on what makes you feel good right now rather than focusing on what is missing.
Like magic, the more we focus on abundance, the more we notice it and the more abundance this mindset creates. This acts as a protective shield from negativity.
Your inner compass is that gut feeling you get - sometimes in your heart, and sometimes in the pit of your stomach. You know the one! Does this make me feel good? If not, then something needs to change.
Listening to that voice inside is indeed an act of Self-Love.
So just for today, ask yourself "Who and what in my life am I grateful for?"
Being Love is Being You. It's connecting to that part of you that knows what's best for you, and then and going with it!
Enjoy the day.
Lots of love,
